Delete your Oro Remit account

Request deletion of your Oro Remit (com.oro.remit) account and associated app data. This page is provided by Ororemit Inc. for Google Play users and website customers.

Request account deletion online

No sign-in needed. Your request goes straight to our team and we will verify it with you by email. Prefer email? Write to info@ororemit.ca with the subject “Account deletion request”.

If your Oro Remit account is registered with a phone number, add it so we can find the right account.

Never include passwords, PINs or one-time codes. No sign-in is needed to submit this form.

How to request account deletion

You can request that we delete your Oro Remit account without signing in. Use either method below.

  • Use the account deletion request form at the top of this page. Enter your full name, the email address on your Oro Remit account and, if you have one, the registered phone number.
  • Or email info@ororemit.ca with the subject "Account deletion request". Include the email address or phone number registered on your Oro Remit account, and your full name.

What happens next

  • We verify that the request comes from the account holder. We may ask for additional identity checks if needed.
  • We close the account and stop further app access for that login.
  • We delete personal data that we are not required to keep, typically within 30 days of verifying your request.
  • Complete or cancel any pending transfers before you request deletion when possible. Contact us if a transfer is stuck and you still need to delete the account.

Data that is deleted

  • App account login credentials and profile details used for day-to-day access.
  • Device and usage data tied to the account that we are not required to retain.
  • Marketing preferences and similar optional contact settings associated with the account.

Data that may be retained

As a money services business, we must retain certain identity and transaction records for the periods required by law, even after you close your account. Those records are not used for marketing and are kept only as long as the retention rules require, then securely deleted.

Select your country

Some terms differ depending on where you send from.

Canada

For customers sending from Canada, Ororemit Inc. retains identity and transaction records as required under FINTRAC and related Canadian law. Those obligations override a request to delete those records while the retention period applies.
